First Annual Maverik Fishing Adventure Oregon, May 2005

Here are some pictures from the First Annual Maverik Fishing Adventure.  Shaggy, Damon, T-BONE, and Damon's Dad Charlie, went out to Oregon to fish for oversize white sturgeon on the Columbia River. We were fishing in 20-30 ft of water using shad as bait.  We caught 2 oversize sturgeon, one that was estimated at 10 ft in length and another 8-footer.  We also caught about 10 or 12 shad.  The fishing was red-hot in the morning, but kind of slow in the afternoon. All in all, it was a great day of fishing.  Visit the forum to hear the details from the anglers themselves.  Click on each picture to enlarge.
